A four week training, for young persons interested in Developing a business idea and turning it into an actual business.
The first week of the four week EDP involves a five day residential retreat on personal Development and Achievement Motivation Training during which entrepreneurs are engaged in:
Self-awareness
Business Planning
Team Building
Interface with/ Discussion on Successful Entrepreneurs.
Leadership Development
The second and third week consist of more in depth sessions on:
What is a small business
Who is an entrepreneur
Identifying available business opportunities
Steps for setting up a Small Business
Tools and Techniques for Market Survey
Marketing Skills
Record-Keeping, Cash Flow and Break-Even Analysis
The fourth and and final week comprises of:
Interfacing with successful entrepreneurs
Preparation of Business plan proposal
One on One Business plan Development
Dealing with Business Challenges.
Small Business Assistance Facility (SBAF)
This is a Three day Training Program specifically for youth entrepreneurs who are already in business and are interested in further developing their business skills and improving and identifying new business opportunities for their small business. The SBAF typically runs from 5pm in the evening, in an effort to accommodate entrepreneurs who have businesses that run throughout the normal working day.

Social Enterprise Incubator Program (SEI)
A new initiative from the Dominica Youth Business Trust, the Social Enterprise Incubator Program is geared toward developing Social Enterprises in Dominica. Social entrepreneurship strengthens communities, creates jobs and increases environmental and financial sustainability. Social entrepreneurs use a business model called social enterprise to directly address a social, cultural or environmental issue within a community.
The key mission of a social enterprise is to address and impact key social issues/challenges within society. They exist primarily to meet their mission and not just a profit.

A social enterprise incubator helps early stage social enterprises move ahead by providing training, tools, and support. The immediate goal is to develop and launch successful social ventures while also building the long-term capacity of social entrepreneurs and organizations.
