Who we are
The Dominica Youth Business Trust is an initiative of the Commonwealth Youth Programme and the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica, with support from the Organization of American States and the Caribbean Development Bank.
Dominica Youth Business Trust was officially launched in May 2004 and has given generous support to entrepreneurs since then. The Dominica Youth Business Trust’s main target is young persons between the ages of 18 to 35 years old who are desirous of starting or developing a micro or small business.
DYBT offers trainings in a four-week training (Entrepreneurship Development Program) or three-day training (Small Business Assistance Facility) to provide or enhance business knowledge and skills and turn ideas into businesses. A loan guarantee fund of up to $20,000.00 is given to facilitate young entrepreneurs. Just recently added is the Social Enterprise Program. A very important and integral component of DYBT is the mentorship program where after the training entrepreneurs are offered mentors to be advisors to them opening or running their businesses.

Clinton Global Foundation
Building on a lifetime of public service, President Clinton established the Clinton Foundation on the simple belief that everyone deserves a chance to succeed, everyone has a responsibility to act, and we all do better when we work together. For nearly two decades, those values have energized the work of the Foundation in overcoming complex challenges and improving the lives of people across the United States and around the world.
As an operating foundation, we work on issues directly or with strategic partners from the business, government, and nonprofit sectors to create economic opportunity, improve public health, and inspire civic engagement and service. Our programs are designed to make a real difference today while serving as proven models for tomorrow. The goal of every effort is to use available resources to get better results faster – at the lowest possible cost.
We firmly believe that when diverse groups of people bring resources together in the spirit of true cooperation, transformative ideas will emerge to drive life-changing action.
